VITA--Volunteer Income Tax Assistants Needed
Help residents and people from the community prepare their income tax statements during February, March and April. Training is provided (available in October, November and January). IHC Legal Clinic Attorneys Needed
Advise IHC residents who are struggling with unresolved legal issues such as landlord disputes, child custody and unpaid fines. One Wednesday evening monthly. Contact John Vyvyan, 214.827.7220 ext. 115 for details. -
Hearts & Hammers Needed
Organize a group of handy Do-It-Yourselfers for maintenance projects including painting, plumbing, carpentry and light electrical work. 6 hr project days are typical. -
Garden Angels Needed
Plant seasonal flowers, help with landscaping, or assist the children with their organic garden. Ideal for a family group, a garden club, or a supervised youth group. -
Office Angels Needed
Multitask for a meaningful cause; use your office skills in the Interfaith offices. Flexible time commitment anytime during office hours. - GED Tutor Needed
Work one on one with residents to identify and improve weak scholastic areas, with the ultimate goal of helping individuals pass the GED. Curriculum and materials provided. -
Personal Development and Everyday Life Skills Trainer/Presenter
Do you have special skills or training in nutrition, time management, health or other important living skills? Come share your time and talent with Interfaith residents by making a presentation at one of our classes.
