Programs and Services For Residents
Housing and Support Services
The Home & Hope Residential Program provides individualized and comprehensive programs for residents of Interfaith Housing Coalition. Specific needs are assessed and families can stay up to 18 months in one of our 49 apartments. Job Search, budgeting and employment retention are import aspects of this accountability-driven program. The families served take ownership of the problems that led to their situation so they can own the solutions
The Stay Self Sufficient Program assists residents after they graduate from Interfaith. Case Management provides specific support services and resources to help previous residents maintain self sufficiency while living in the community.
Children and Teens
The Heart, Head & Hands Children’s Program offers a therapeutic curriculum inspired by Waldorf education to help children and teens overcome their history of family instability and become more resilient. Our Teen Leadership Program provides the foundation for making good choices and this important stage in their lives.
In the Community
The Community Connection Program assists families and individuals who do not fit the Interfaith Housing resident profile and facilitates connections between our neighbors in the local community. Interfaith maintains alliances with related, local nonprofits to avoid redundancy, increase our effectiveness, and serve more people in need.
Current initiatives in The Community Connection Program are:
- Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) - helping local families prepare and file income tax returns. Download PDF for further information.
- Angel Food Ministries – coordinating the distribution of deeply discounted fresh food (often not available at food banks) on a monthly basis to neighborhood residents. Download FAQ in PDF format for further information.
- Legal Clinic the 2nd Wednesday of every month - helping local families which qualify obtain no cost legal assistance. Download PDF for further information.
