Christine Cook and Sleep Experts

Christine Cook and the Sleep Experts organization make a difference in the lives of parents and children who live in Interfaith Housing’s 49 apartments.  By donating mattresses whenever a new family moves in, Sleep Experts insures that our residents truly have a place to call their home.    When families graduate from Interfaith Housing, they are able to take their mattresses with them to their new homes.  Christine and her team at Sleep Experts have also cleaned, painted and prepared Interfaith Housing apartments for families newly accepted into our program.  In addition, Sleep Experts has sponsored Mother’s Day cook-outs and family celebrations for our entire resident community.

Louise Spence Griffeth

Louise is a Hero to the children, parents and staff at Interfaith Housing Coalition.  A board member for 6 years, Louise has helped Interfaith with her consistent and gracious involvement at all levels … organizing donations to assist a family with a special needs child, championing our therapeutic children’s curriculum, and introducing  new donors to our ministry.  Louise is pictured in the room dedicated to our children’s “Godly Play Program” as she has truly been a God-send to Interfaith since she first came as a researcher from the Women of St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church in 2004.

Greatest needs:

1. Volunteer Mentors for residents.  For more information go to the "Volunteer" tab above.
2. Most needed houshold items.
3. Non Logo Tote Bags - large enough to put a pair of shoes and a job portfolio into.
4. Professional clothing for women in Job Search.  Size 2 & 4, and size 16 and up Summer professional clothing. Gift Cards from Ross Dress For Less would be greatly appreciated as they are located nearby and allow us to purchase proper sizes, undergarments and other items that we do not have in our Job Search Clothes Closet.
