Helping Families With Children Become Self Sufficient
Interfaith Housing uses a faith-based and intentional approach to help families with children transform their lives from poverty and homelessness to self sufficiency. Our vision is: Every night, every child ... a home & hope for the future. We believe that the most effective way to lift a child out of poverty and homelessness is to uplift the entire family. We do this in two ways:
- Our residential program began in 1985. We own 49 apartments where families live on average 6-12 months and provide these families with comprehensive services to help them transform their lives. Learn More
- EQUIP helps prevent family homelessness. Through EQUIP, partner churches and other community organizations recruit volunteers to mentor families in their own communities that are at risk of becoming homeless. This new program serves the needs of families which have been hardest hit by the current economic turmoil. Learn more about EQUIP
